Quantitative Fluorescence Analysis (QFA-FRET)

Quantitative Fluoroscence Applications (QFA-FRET) is a NEW module incorporating selection and customizing of algorithms based on published methods for accurate crosstalk correction, FRET measurement and visualization. Acquisition for FRET analysis requires excitation/emission filters selected for correct spectral separation of the fluorophores involved. Unavoidable crosstalk or bleed-through between channels requires verified processing corrections. FRET efficiencies and normalizations, are quickly calculated and displayed by this structured module.

QFA-FRET Features:
  • Corrections include: Complete FRET, MicroFRET, 2 filter FRET,
    acceptor photo bleaching
  • Display numerical values for each correction method, on whole
    images or pixel by pixel
  • Normalizations include: acceptor/donor product, square root of
acceptor/donor product, and acceptor or donor alone
  • Displays exact equation for correction, normalization, and efficiency
  • Integrates with AIC module for capture and analysis
  • Auto-calculate or enter predetermined cross-talk coefficients
  • Define objects with monochrome/color threshold, or graphical
    drawing tools

  • Applications:
  • Protein-protein interactions
  • Characterization of gene expression
  • Nucleic acid activity studies
  • Membrane bound protein interactions
  • Mitochondria activity assays
  • Vesicle fusion event monitoring
